Hangzhou Eastern Garden
Hangzhou Eastern Garden is a private residence interior in Hangzhou, China, designed for a family of music enthusiasts. A music room on the upper floor sets the theme of the whole home. Acoustic panels with geometric forms provide sound control and a decorative surface. The sofa was moved from the music room to the hallway to protect the acoustic quality. The original shear wall and stairs separated the dining room from the living room. The stairs were relocated and the wall was rebuilt as a six meter wall of white stone. Materials include eucalyptus wood, ebony and ultra-clear glass.
Hangzhou Eastern Garden Private Residence by T.K. CHU DESIGN has been highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hangzhou Eastern Garden Private Residence was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
