Lesprit cafe
Lesprit Cafe is a cafe interior located on the ground floor of a building in Tainan City, Taiwan. The space covers 66 square meters and includes a kitchen, a bar and a dining area. Flat marble, matt brass and black and white tile flooring create a calm and warm atmosphere. Laminated board is used for easy maintenance. Blue paint relates the interior to the exterior of the building. A wooden partition was removed to widen the space, and situational lighting with spotlights and chandeliers adds softness. Furniture from the earlier cafe is reused to limit cost and keep a consistent style.
Lesprit cafe Restaurant by Tung Chieh Chen, Chun Hsiao Chou was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lesprit cafe Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
