Yu’s Residence
Yu's Residence is a residential interior design for a 135 square meter apartment in Taipei. The design joins classical form with contemporary technique. Thin titanium-coated stainless steel strips are set into concave recesses, so reflections glitter softly in the shadows. The materials change in appearance as the sunlight moves. The entrance cabinet is separated from the wall, which extends the view from the entrance toward the living room. Gray mirrors on the walls reflect the scenery outside and enlarge the sense of space. The ceiling form marks the limit of each area.
Yu’s Residence Residential Space by UJ DESIGN STUDIO has been selected as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yu’s Residence Residential Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
