Pure App is a mobile application designed for plogging, an activity that combines jogging with picking up litter. The app guides each session with details such as route, trash can location, distance, speed and energy use. Every collected item is tracked and turned into points, so users can compare results with friends. Team plogging is also supported online, allowing group activities and friendly competition. Additional features include tasks, environmental quizzes and an online store for green products.
Pure Mobile App by Jiaying Zhu was recognized as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Pure Mobile App received the Bronze A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2020. The A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that recognizes exceptional design of smartphones, tablets, wearables, mobile applications, mobile games, mobile software, mobile platforms, mobile interfaces and more.
