2019 Admissions Welcome Package DGUT

The 2019 Admissions Welcome Package is a gift box prepared for new university students in Dongguan, China. The design completes a three-year visual series based on natural growth, moving from sowing and flowering to fruiting. The red Lingnan lychee is used as the core pattern, and the side of the box opening is die-cut with a hollow lychee shape. A wooden postcard is laser engraved and can be folded into a three-dimensional lychee pendant. The box holds letters, a canvas bag, a map of local revolutionary sites, badges, stickers and passes.

2019 Admissions Welcome Package DGUT Freshman Admission Notice Gift Box by Ruikang Xie has been selected as an innovative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. 2019 Admissions Welcome Package DGUT Freshman Admission Notice Gift Box was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
