Maoyuan Jingxi
Maoyuan Jingxi is a show flat located in a townhouse in Beijing. The interior covers 300 square meters and applies a subtraction approach, removing redundant functional spaces and reorganizing the circulation to create an open plan. A series of miniature gardens is brought into the home, giving the occupants varied views. The entrance hallway sits in the middle of the floor plan and serves as the main distribution space. An entrance garden faces the door and fills the area with brightness. Materials include marble, eucalyptus veneer, leather and brass.
Maoyuan Jingxi Show Flat by T.K. CHU DESIGN has been recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Maoyuan Jingxi Show Flat won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
