After Life
After Life is a themed restaurant and bar located in Downtown Dubai. The venue covers 500 square meters of interior space with an attached open balcony of 150 square meters. The entrance forms a tunnel with a mountain-like wall, engraved Babylonian script panels, burnt candles on a shelf and rock-shaped crystals hanging from the ceiling. A foyer with a driftwood tree and a large log chair leads into the main hall. The island bar appears carved from stone and is marked by a serpentine crystal installation of 30 meters. Rustic Indian sandstone covers the floor in a random pattern.
After Life Restaurant by devesh pratyay has been highlighted as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. After Life Restaurant was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
