Rb5 Vinicola
RB5 Vinicola is a visual identity and packaging program created for a winery in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. The icon is a monogram that hides the letters R and B inside a serif number five. The negative space forms the silhouette of a wine opener. The name recalls the Bartolini family and the five brothers who founded the winery in 1853. The identity is applied to bottle packaging, wooden boxes, shopping bags, business cards, tags and uniforms. Embossing, gold foil, crepe paper, glass and cut wood were used. The aim was to join tradition with a modern and sober look.
Rb5 Vinicola Visual Identity by Victor Weiss has been highlighted as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Rb5 Vinicola Visual Identity received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
