U A D Sports Center Lighting

Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium

Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium is a lighting design for a public sports facility. The facade of the main building is made of tens of thousands of carmine ceramic rods, fixed with an original construction method developed through repeated full scale tests. The lighting follows the concept of a city gift box and presents the gymnasium as a crystal box that glows from inside to outside at night. Light with a warm color temperature is used on the main building for a soft appearance. Brick lamps at the base of the pillars guide visitors and reduce glare.

Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium Sports Center by U A D has been identified as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yizheng Comprehensive Gymnasium Sports Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2020. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade that rewards excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
