Silent
Silent is a residential interior design for a 138 square meter home in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Black and white tones define the rational outline of the space, while wood veneer and brightly colored furnishings add warmth. Marble runs through the public areas and meets other materials in a harmonious dialogue. The kitchen combines black baked glass with white cabinets for a minimalist atmosphere. Purple and white stone, iron pieces and grey mirror add further accents. Open planning and a continuous stacking technique extend the horizon.
Silent Residential House by Yu Jen Tsai was selected as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Silent Residential House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
