Amphibious
Amphibious is a portable rescue drone designed for disaster response. Amphibious combines disaster investigation, life detection, search and rescue positioning, equipment transport and emergency lighting. The four wings can be rotated to form a portable mode, a flight mode or a diving mode. Radar life detection devices on the outer edge of the wings help locate survivors, while lights on the inner edge support work in dark areas. The body is made of lightweight aviation aluminum, plastic and composite materials. The drone can be folded and carried in a backpack.
Amphibious Rescue Drone by Junkai Shao and Xiaoxi Du has been selected as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Amphibious Rescue Drone was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Security, Safety and Surveillance Products Design in 2021. The A' Security, Safety and Surveillance Products Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates superior design of CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access controls, biometric scanners, surveillance drones, security locks, intrusion detectors, fire safety equipment and more.
