Temperature Clothing

Temperature

Color Change is a garment made from temperature-sensitive materials. The fabric changes color when it meets body heat, sunlight or the warmth of another person. Close contact such as a hug therefore becomes visible on the surface of the clothing. The pattern is cut to highlight the structural lines of the garment, and these lines are closed with adhesive tape. The tape does not react to temperature, so it stays fixed while the surrounding fabric shifts in color. The contrast between the two materials makes hidden changes in warmth easy to see.

Temperature Clothing by QuNan has been identified as a grand illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Temperature Clothing won the Silver A' Design Award in Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design in 2021. The A' Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of runway collections, dresses, suits, skirts, outerwear, jackets, apparel, garments and more.
