Capsule
Capsule is a television remote control designed for streaming platforms. The layout reduces cognitive load by dividing the buttons into two sets. One set holds the functions used before starting a title, and the other holds the functions used after starting a title. Typing remains the preferred input method for streaming services on television. When an on-screen keyboard appears, Capsule can be held horizontally and the button configuration changes. Two sets of navigation buttons then control two separate cursors. A microphone for voice command is also included.
Capsule TV Remote for OTT Platforms by Shivang Vaishnav has been selected as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that rewards outstanding design of smartphones, laptops, televisions, cameras, headphones, smartwatches, gaming consoles, tablets and more.
