Optimus Prime
Mi Transformers Optimus Prime Packaging is a paper package designed for a building block toy. The front of the box shows the assembled product, so the shape and the movable parts are clear to buyers. The minimalist style and color scheme reflect the character of the toy. Display and packaging functions are combined in one structure. The upper cover opens to reveal layered bags of blocks. The lower box opens to both sides and forms separate storage boxes. Parts can be sorted by type, and the box can be reused for daily storage.
Optimus Prime Building Block Toy by Yang Zhang was highlighted as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Optimus Prime Building Block Toy won the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
