Future Tribes
Future Tribes is an event space design created for Centrestage, a four-day fashion show in Hong Kong that presented 240 brands within a 9000 square metre venue. The design covers the entrance concourse, a central display and a catwalk area. The visual language mixes traditional cultural symbols, such as runes, hieroglyphs and tattoos, with new technology. Holographic fan displays, LED screens and moving triangular lights are used. All elements were prefabricated off site and assembled on site in three days.
Future Tribes Event Organiser Space by Hong Kong Trade Development Council has been highlighted as a creative representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Future Tribes Event Organiser Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design in 2021. The A' Event and Happening Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates superior design of trade fairs, award ceremonies, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, product launches, charity events and more.
