Wangchun
Wangchun is a church interior located in a park, with a river and many trees nearby. The design takes purity and tranquility as the core of the space atmosphere. Simple materials and natural light present the spirit of the place. Wood veneer, wood silk board, latex paint, stainless steel and stone are used across the 620 square meter interior. The decoration is restrained and the layout is symmetrical. Changing daylight creates a solemn and quiet setting. The aim is to offer a calm place for rest and reflection.
Wangchun Church by Suping Zhuo was identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Wangchun Church was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
