JoeLalli
China Moganshan Joe Lalli is a resort hotel interior located in Moganshan, Zhejiang, China. The design draws on the nearby mountains, lakes, waterfalls, tea farms and rain clouds. Four interlocking structures hold the main facilities, among them a lobby, a tea lounge, a book lounge, a restaurant, a bar, a ballroom, meeting rooms and 42 guest rooms. Local materials such as bamboo and hardwood are used. The bamboo cloud staircase is made of glass reinforced gypsum and hand painted with a bamboo pattern. Green roofs and solar panels support the sustainable character.
JoeLalli Resort Hotel by Simon Zeng & Vincent Zhang was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. JoeLalli Resort Hotel received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
