HuoLaPai Hotpot
Wanda Huo La Pai Hotpot is a hotpot restaurant interior of about 500 square meters in Xiamen. The design draws on traditional Chinese architectural structure and modern oriental art. Stone brick walls show a simple rough lime texture, and local reclaimed materials such as old wood, Chinese style window lattices and tiles reduce cost and save resources. Black, white and gray form the main palette, with red used on the columns and lanterns placed at the entrance. Winding Chinese corridors separate the tables, so diners enjoy an open setting with privacy.
HuoLaPai Hotpot Restaurant by Wanfu Su has been highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. HuoLaPai Hotpot Restaurant was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
