Yearning For Art
Yearning For Art is a residential interior design completed in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The interior uses a black, white and gray color system to create a calm and modern atmosphere. The public area is open and spacious, linking the living room, dining room and kitchen island, and a long table with several seats is placed in the dining room for guests. Glass sliding doors divide the public and private areas and protect privacy. Special paint, marble-like tile, rust-copper tile, titanium-plated sheet and wooden louvers give the walls a layered, three-dimensional texture.
Yearning For Art Residence by Yan Ru Chen was featured as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yearning For Art Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
