Mu House
Mu House is a residential interior design created for a family of four in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The original layout offered only four rooms and did not meet the needs of the household. The renovation adds three separate rooms and a multifunctional room, while giving more space to the common areas. Grayish white walls extend through the home to create a calm and elegant atmosphere. The layout follows the river and mountain views and the abundant natural light. Environmentally friendly materials are used for the paints, the walls and the built-in furniture.
Mu House Residential Space by CHUANG, HSUAN- CHENG has been highlighted as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mu House Residential Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
