Ithaki Restaurant
Ithaki Restaurant is a lighting design created for a fine dining restaurant on a coastal area of the city. The scheme covers both interior and exterior areas, and all of these areas face the sea. A glare-free approach was chosen to protect the night views of the sea and the night sky. Warm light defines the dining tables and creates an immersive and intimate atmosphere. The lighting supports the refined tones of the interior design and enhances the culinary experience. The aim was to give guests a sense of comfort during shared meals.
Ithaki Restaurant Lighting Design by Anna Sbokou and Matina Magklara was identified as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Ithaki Restaurant Lighting Design earned the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
