May Cuisine
May Cuisine is a restaurant interior design located in Yangzhou, China. The space covers 290 square meters. Geometric blocks, interspersing and array techniques are used to create an artistic atmosphere. A tall volume at the core of the plan uses a vertical structure to balance the spatial rhythm. The bar volume is enlarged, and refined metal is set against coarse cement to create contrast. Red, drawn from ripe bayberry, sets the main tone. Materials include floor paint, stainless steel, glass, fabric, steel plate and terrazzo.
May Cuisine Restaurant by Jiannan Zhang was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. May Cuisine Restaurant earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
