U Villa
The U-shaped house was inspired by the horseshoe and the outer envelope was inspired by the Burqa’a. Two essential but different elements in the Saudi culture. Elements that resemble both pride and humbleness, strength and privacy, beauty and mystery. Quite an interesting formula. Which is what this house is all about.
U Villa Residential House by Adel Badrawy was selected as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. U Villa Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that celebrates outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
