State of the Art
State of the Art is a residential interior design completed in Taipei, Taiwan. The project covers 165.3 square metres and renovates an old house with a narrow, long plan and a maze-like layout. Walls were removed and repositioned to reorganise the circulation and the room arrangement. Comprehensive storage is provided, and the lighting problem is resolved. Recycled and eco-friendly materials are used, including wooden flooring made from recyclable sawdust, eco-friendly coatings and germ-free panels with class I flame resistance.
State of the Art Residential Space by Yi-Hua Li was highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition.
