Vague
Vague is a backless chair formed by continuous structural curves. Each viewing angle reveals a different harmonious composition. Vague is made of steel tubes with a diameter of 5/16 inch, shaped by bending and joined by welding. The surface receives an electrostatic paint or a copper coating finish. The dimensions are 400 mm in width, 390 mm in depth and 420 mm in height. The curves were inspired by the ripples of a water droplet falling into a river and by the structure of leaves. Vague can be used as a seat or as a decorative object.
Vague Stool by Rodrigo Erthal was featured as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Vague Stool earned the Golden A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021.
