Shell
Shell is a transformable sofa designed for homes and for public spaces such as schools and shopping centres. The back of the sofa is flexible and can be moved with a few simple motions. Shell can be used as a lounge sofa, a double-sided sofa or an ottoman. The frame is made of metal and is covered with fabric and soft filler. The sofa measures 1800 mm in length, 1200 mm in height and 800 mm in depth. Two colour versions are offered: white and grey with gold cushions, and dark grey with red cushions. The transformation allows the sofa to be reused when a room changes.
Shell Sofa by Alexey Danilin has been selected as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Shell Sofa won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that honors outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
