Chiaroscuro
Chiaroscuro is a jewelry collection built from a single link form repeated in many variations. The links are 3D printed in ABS thermoplastic polymer already connected, which gives the pieces light weight and free movement. Selected links are cast in sterling silver, using rubber moulds and waxes taken from the prints. Natural dye and applied crystals add colour and texture on the front and the back, so the earrings can be viewed from all angles. Computer-aided design is joined with traditional silversmith techniques, so every piece begins from the same form yet ends as unique.
Chiaroscuro Jewelry Collection by Maya McCormack was identified as an outstanding representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Chiaroscuro Jewelry Collection earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that celebrates outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
