Crosscut Cabouchon
Crosscut Cabouchon is a jewellery collection of brooches, rings and earrings. Ethically mined opals from Australia are held within boldly coloured settings. Corian from interior offcuts is carved by hand, and aluminium recycled from laptop cases is anodised to add colour. Gold and silver recycled from estate jewellery are fabricated with traditional goldsmith skills. Controlled heat allows the gems to be set directly into the Corian without adhesive. The collection invites wearers to see classic gemstones in a different light.
Crosscut Cabouchon Jewellery by Lingjun Sun was highlighted as a creative example of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Crosscut Cabouchon Jewellery earned the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that honors outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
