Fungi Narratives
Fungi Narratives is a material and design research project based on fungi as an organic material. The project explores the properties of Fomes fomentarius and Fomitopsis betulina combined with compostable bioplastics made from plant based glycerin, agar agar and water. Results include amadou leather accessories such as a face mask, embroidery, up-cycled fashion pieces and a collection of paper-like sheets made only from fungi and water. The aim is to use abundant natural resources to create materials with a positive impact on sustainable design.
