The Osmanthus Grace
The Osmanthus Grace is a sales center building located in the Yuhua District of Shijiazhuang. The design places two staggered bar-shaped blocks around an interior courtyard and an exterior landscaped courtyard, which remain independent yet linked. The three-story southern block combines solid stone with fully glazed sections, and the glass is covered by a fine metal grid with a spacing of about 150 millimeters. The two-story northern block is almost entirely glazed. Slender steel columns support the canopy overhang. The building will later serve as a public service facility.
The Osmanthus Grace Sales Center by GTD has been identified as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Osmanthus Grace Sales Center earned the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which rewards outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
