My home Steak
My Home Steak is a buffet restaurant interior located in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The project covers 1,000 square meters, divided into five seating sections. The concept is an indoor forest, formed with forest printing, plants and the repeated shape of a house. Five roof shaped wooden frames outline an arcade above the self service bar. The facade is built with recyclable wood wool cement boards. Marble, iron parts, glass and hand laid ceramic tiles complete the space. The design brings nature and a feeling of home to an industrial district.
My home Steak Restaurant by TSAI CHIN MING has been identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. My home Steak Restaurant received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
