The HQ
The HQ is a multifunctional table designed for small homes. The HQ serves as a dining table and as a shared office desk with a removable divider panel. The panel is coated with magnetic paint, so notes can be held on its surface. The table is made from Ecoboard, a material produced from natural wheat straw left over after harvests. Panels are cut with a CNC machine and joined by interlocking tongue and groove connections, so no screws are needed. A storage space holds small office supplies, and a cut-out keeps cables tidy. The table ships as a flat pack.
The HQ Multifunctional Table by Nora J S Voon was featured as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. The HQ Multifunctional Table received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
