Xi Space
Xi Space is a tea house located in Ningbo, China, with an area of 110 square meters. The interior brings together a tearoom, a work area and a display setting for a private collection of tea ware, calligraphy and painting. Bricks, wood, marble and paintings form the main material palette. The layout gives the daily ritual of tea a calm and ordered frame. The design reflects the belief that beautiful objects refresh the mind and that collecting is an act of caring for things rather than a pursuit of wealth. The space is intended for rest, work and sharing with friends.
Xi Space Tea House by Liangfeng Hu was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Xi Space Tea House won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
