Sixty Minutes
60M is a bar interior located in Xiamen, China, covering a total of 258 square meters. A curved circular bar forms the centre of the plan and supports a new way of drinking and socializing. The theme is based on the water element and is interpreted through different materials. The wave-like wall is built in three layers, with irregular curved wood above and below and a custom made GRG wood interlayer. Hidden linear lights deepen the lines of the wall and can be adjusted for light and shadow shows. The bar surface is made of polished water millstone.
Sixty Minutes Bar by Junhong Huang has been recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Sixty Minutes Bar was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
