Willow Shores
Willow Shores is a landscape design for a demonstration area in Suzhou, China, covering 5000 square meters. The main entrance uses a minimalist approach, with a large canopy and windows in the landscape wall that open the view, while the hall entrance stays hidden behind the wall. Inside, a winding corridor combines traditional half columns with simple decorative grids, hollowed metal curtains and green bamboo. A pool is set within a pond form of southern China. The whole space is divided into five levels to support a sense of returning home.
Willow Shores Demonstration Area by Hangzhou Gescape Design Co., Ltd was featured as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Willow Shores Demonstration Area was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which rewards exceptional design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
