Nago Pineapple Park Winery
Winery of Nago Pineapple Park is a retail interior located inside an amusement park in Okinawa, Japan. A large steel object shaped as a pineapple wine brewing machine stands in the atrium and measures 9000 millimeters in width, 9000 millimeters in depth and 13500 millimeters in height. The lower part serves as a wine cellar lit by indirect lighting, and a counter lounge for wine tasting surrounds the cellar. Wood, metal, mosaic tiles, antique glass and stained glass are combined. The interior offers a calm space for adults.
Nago Pineapple Park Winery Retail Shop by Shinjiro Heshiki was highlighted as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Nago Pineapple Park Winery Retail Shop earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
