The Essence of Aesthetics
The Essence of Aesthetics is a residential interior design for a 150 square meter home in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Grey and black are used as the main colour tones instead of wood colour. Linear lighting emphasises the high ceiling and extends the view, supporting the minimal character of the space. The ceiling is finished with platinum plates, and the walls carry an Italian artistic coating with intricate patterns and textured surfaces. Walls in the living room and kitchen use Grigio Fantasy Travertine Antique stone. The project was completed in June 2019.
The Essence of Aesthetics Residence by HomeCheer Interior Design Company has been selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Essence of Aesthetics Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
