Hush
Hush is a bar interior located in Taipei, Taiwan, covering 135 square meters. At the entrance, antique oil painting lacquered wood and gray glass retain the original appearance of the building. The beams and pillars of the old structure were only lightly modified, revealing the original slabs and bricks. Portuguese cork in three stacked colors forms the main visual wall. A long counter and a rear wine rack with line lights run through the space. The floor tiles are made of recycled wood, and intelligent lighting adjusts brightness and color temperature to reduce energy waste.
Hush Residence by HomeCheer Interior Design Company was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hush Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
