Surfland
Surfland is a resort and surf park located in Garopaba, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The main attraction is an artificial wave pool that allows surfing throughout the year, for beginners and experienced surfers alike. The site covers 400,000 square meters, of which 233,000 square meters are kept as an environmental preservation area. Buildings occupy only open ground, so existing vegetation is not cut. Natural stone, wood, concrete, steel, sand and native plants are used. The landscape follows the fluid forms of water.
Surfland Resort by ANDRE KREBS was recognized as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Surfland Resort earned the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021.
