Hall of Sonata
Hall of Sonata is a residential interior design completed in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The layout follows an open plan concept, and movable sliding doors and half-height screens divide the public area, the study and the living room in a flexible way. Curved arc elements soften the space and conceal the low beam at the entrance, and the same arc theme is repeated in carpets, screens, clocks and lighting. Iron, wood, water-based paint, glass and mirror surfaces are combined in gray tones and pure white. Storage cabinets are set along the walls for storage and display.
Hall of Sonata Residential by Hsieh-Ying Chen has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Hall of Sonata Residential received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
