Eleware
Eleware is a set of tableware designed for modern dining in China. The set responds to the way traditional dining etiquette is changing over time. Eleware includes three pieces with distinct shapes. The bone plate has an increased height that hides the face and the bones when bones are spat out. The food plate has an inclined bottom that helps filter oil from the food. The bowl follows the same curve as a teacup, so soup can be enjoyed like tea. The pieces are made of clay and shaped by throwing.
Eleware Culinary by Linlin Li has been highlighted as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Eleware Culinary was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2021. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
