The Green Breathe
The Green Breathe is a residential interior design completed in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Low chroma colors such as grey and black form the base tone, combined with titanium plated metal frames, tawny glass, brown paint finishes and rectangular geometry arranged in a calm order. The ceiling of the public area is built with mexin boards, which are flame retardant and sound absorbing and require no painting, so paint odor is avoided. Non-toxic and eco-friendly materials were selected for a family with a newborn. The corridor was shifted by 40 centimeters to widen the living room.
The Green Breathe Residential by Ian Chen has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Green Breathe Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
