WUSA
Wusa is a small electric motorcycle that also serves as a power unit for a manual wheelchair. The compact vehicle is intended for urban travel and leisure use. A sturdy steel frame holds a lightweight lithium-ion battery placed low and to the side, so the unit can be used with a wheelchair. Rear-wheel drive allows a top speed of 35 kilometers per hour, and a rear suspension with a long stroke adds comfort. Existing motorcycle parts can be fitted, so the vehicle can be customized. Wusa is designed to appeal to all riders, not only to wheelchair users.
WUSA Electric Personal Mobility by Anri Sugihara has been selected as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award.
