PowerPlace
PowerPlace is a charging station designed for everyday living spaces. The object combines an extension cable, a portable battery, storage space and a variety of charging interfaces in one organized unit. A simple design language is paired with technical contents, forming a hybrid piece of furniture. The body and supportive parts are made from aluminum, and all plastic parts use the same polymer and color treatment. Fields of use range from private homes, cafes and co-working spaces to offices, hotels and bars.
PowerPlace Charging Station by Philipp Hainke was selected as a grand representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. PowerPlace Charging Station received the Silver A' Design Award in Energy Products, Projects and Devices Design in 2021. The A' Energy Products, Projects and Devices Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of solar panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric generators, geothermal systems, bioenergy converters, fuel cells, energy storage devices, smart grid systems and more.
