Promising Ideas
Promising Ideas Innovation is a short animation created for Unicef to explain how more young people, especially girls in remote areas, have been connected to the internet. The animation compares the number of men and women who access the internet in developed and less developed regions. It then shows the problems that limited access creates for women in those regions. Complex data is turned into a simple story about one girl and the millions who face the same situation. The animation was produced entirely by computer.
Promising Ideas Animation by Hao Li has been highlighted as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Promising Ideas Animation received the Silver A' Design Award in Movie, Video and Animation Design in 2021. The A' Movie, Video and Animation Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards superior design of feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos, experimental films, commercials, trailers and more.
