Deng Long Ji
Deng Long Ji is a packaging design for wine, created for a Chinese wine brand. The bottle shape is derived from the traditional Chinese lantern, a form associated with prosperity and celebration. The bottle cap is decorated with a Chinese window lattice pattern. The gift box is made of decorated fired acrylic and the bottle is made of decorated fired glass. The box measures 109.02 by 109.02 by 280.5 millimeters. The design presents wine through a contemporary Chinese aesthetic and aims to change the common view of wine as a purely Western product.
Deng Long Ji Alcoholic Beverage Packaging by Wen Liu was identified as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Deng Long Ji Alcoholic Beverage Packaging earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
