Memory of Light
Memory of Light is an office interior created for a high-speed network computing center in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The 383.5 square meter space works as a headquarters for supercomputers and supports display, work, meetings and artificial intelligence services. Extended lines of light and the theme of restructured memory guide the layout. The ceiling is decorated with waste tires, a symbol of speed, and with patented circular metal sound-absorbing panels that recall compact discs. Barrier-free ramps and certified green materials were used.
Memory of Light Office by Te-Chih Lo was selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Memory of Light Office earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
