Forest of Art
Forest of Art is a landscape design for a 2000 square meter site in Taichung, Taiwan, completed in October 2020. The site lies at the junction of three parks, on a downtown corner facing a walkway to a school. The building was turned 45 degrees to face the school on the diagonal side, leaving more room for planting. Planter boxes arranged in an arc surround a sky walkway that connects with arbours. Multi-layer planting at the entrance makes the street corner appear as a forest linked to the sky walkway.
Forest of Art Landscapes by Hsu Fu Chu was highlighted as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Forest of Art Landscapes earned the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that recognizes excellent design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
