Mountain Chalet
Mountain Chalet is the interior design of a private mountain villa of 440 square meters in Smilovtsi, Bulgaria. The design combines the characteristic elements of a mountain chalet with a timeless and luxurious character. Natural materials shape the interior, including wood, natural semi-precious stones and natural leather, used in the decor, the wall fixtures and the floorings. Both floors and the spa area are arranged as places to gather friends and guests for relaxation. The concept draws on the owner's childhood memories of the wooden veranda of his grandfather's house.
Mountain Chalet Private Residence by Alex Kovachev has been featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mountain Chalet Private Residence won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
