Robot Manipulator
Robot Manipulator is a handheld control device for operating a medical robotic arm. The body is made of carbon fiber and aluminum, a combination that increases strength and reduces weight. The device is held and moved by the hand, and many sensors inside convert hand movements into signals. The signals are sent to a processor, which controls the robotic arm along multiple dimensions and coordinates. The robotic arm returns feedback that matches the hand movement. Precise tasks can be carried out at a distance, including work in dangerous conditions.
Robot Manipulator Remote Operation Device by Jun Chen was highlighted as an outstanding representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Robot Manipulator Remote Operation Device earned the Silver A' Design Award in Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design in 2021. The A' Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which recognizes excellent design of industrial robots, medical robots, agricultural robots, domestic robots, autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, telepresence robots, underwater robots and more.
